In 2019, Tim Piper and Tammy Trujillo teamed up to create the Talks with John podcast – a weekly conversation between Tammy and her good friend John (Lennon) portrayed by Tim. The podcast has won four international awards and was recently spun-off into a stage show featuring Tim and Tammy and their Super Group band.
Building on that success, 2020 saw the creation of one of the most unique weekly Beatles shows ever done – Back with the Beatles!
Some people say that Tammy Trujillo has done it all. According to Tammy, not even close!
Tammy has worked in the entertainment industry since the age of 2, singing and dancing her way through childhood, much of it with a show that brought the characters of the Disney Small World ride to life.
Her broadcasting career started while she was still in college. She has worked as a morning co-host, news anchor, sportscaster, and traffic reporter on many of Southern California’s largest television and radio stations. Tammy has been honored with numerous RTNA Golden Mike Awards, one of the broadcasting industry’s highest honors as well as two Gold Hermes Creative Awards.
Through it all, Tammy’s love for music has been alive and well. She’s performed on-stage with many groups from the 60s and 70s including Al Wilson, Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods, Ron Dante and she was a member of the band that gave the world Bubblegum Music, the iconic Ohio Express.
Tammy always seems to have a microphone handy and has recorded hundreds of hours of interviews with some of the most important performers in the music industry.
A musician, actor and songwriter born into a show business family not far from The Dakota in Manhattan, Tim Piper has traveled the world, performing music made famous by The Beatles, and has distinguished himself as the preeminent John Lennon through roles in the CBS production, “The Linda McCartney Story”, E! Channel’s “The Last Days of John Lennon”, “Beatle Wives” and as the singing voice of Lennon for the NBC TV Movie of the Week, “In His Life – The John Lennon Story”.
At the age of 7, Tim witnessed The Beatles appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show and was completely transfixed – beginning a journey and a study in particular of John, the “chief Beatle” that would eventually take him around the world performing in his critically acclaimed rock theatrical production, “Just Imagine”.
In 2019, Tim teamed up with Los Angeles broadcaster Tammy Trujillo to create the Talks with John podcast – a weekly conversation between Tammy and her good friend John (Lennon) portrayed by Tim. The podcast has won four international awards and was recently spun-off into a stage show featuring Tim and Tammy and their Super Group band.
Tim also has recently produced his very first solo album, Now Hear This, featuring his own original songs – influenced by his love for The Beatles.
